Jan 13, 2018 · I have the 000-18 and love it. I’ve played the 000-17 whisky sunset and preferred the black one because of the color over the whiskey sunset. I had a hard time deciding between the ceo7 and the 000-18 and the 000-28ec.

The 15 Series 000-15SM shares the same all-mahogany body with slotted headstock as its predecessor but now comes with a morado fingerboard and bridge, real rosette, improved fretboard inlays, and nickel tuners with butterbean nobs. The Martin 000-15M is an incredible amount of guitar for the money. Built of all solid tonewoods throughout, it is a 14-fret 000 (Auditorium) size instrument made in Style 15, with all-M ahogany construction of the back, sides, neck and top, supported by solid spruce bracing. Body 000-size, 14-fret all-mahogany body; non-scalloped A-frame X-braced top; katalox belly-style bridge with compensated drop-in bone saddle; satin distressed mahogany burst finish Moving on, the neck on this 000 is mahogany, despite the "select hardwood" designation you might read on the company's website. The tuners are particularly worthy of mention, in that they're open-backed with vintage-style mellow cream buttons, but the nickel has been cunningly aged so that it takes on the appearance of pewter.

My 000-15 actually has way more umph and power thatn my 000-18. I LOVE the sound of my 15. Also have a HD-35 which had thinner braces and is scalloped and sounds like a cannon. My favorite guitar. I just don't want to give up on the guitar. The 000-15M is virtually the same as the D-15M, except that it is in Martin’s 000 shape.

I agree about the OM-21. Used for $900 seems almost too good to be true, but if its in good shape, a smoking deal. My OM-21 is a complete tone monster. The difference in scale length (24.9" for the 000-28 vs. 25.4", the same as their dreads, for the OM-21) makes a huge difference in my opinion, and I prefer the 1 3/4" nut on the OM-21.
